Horticulture Modeling with ECan
In 2018, The Agribusiness Group was approached by Environment Canterbury to assist in the Omnibus for future plan changes, in particular to determine the nitrogen losses from the properties on a per nutrient allocation zone basis, giving an understanding of commercial vegetable growers environmental impact over the whole Canterbury catchment.
Support for plan change 1 - Waikato Regional council
The AgriBusiness Group has supported both Wairakei Pastoral and HortNZ in making submissions to the Waikato Regional Councils appointed commissioners on the proposed Plan Change 1 (PC1). This has entailed our consultants providing evidence on the resource economic aspects of the proposed PC1 to support informed decision making. A large component of this work includes analysis of the future economic implications associated with the proposed policy and management decisions.
