Samoa – Women in Business Development Inc (WIBDI)
Strategic review and business planning
WIBDI was established in 1991 and provides support to vulnerable families typically through fostering the establishment of markets for locally produced products and supporting families to supply these markets. Products include fine mats, virgin coconut oil, fetau oil and dried bananas. To support these initiatives WIBDI has established an organic certification system to enable access to niche markets, as well as technical, social, and micro finance support structures for families.
Description of the project
Following their own analysis and feedback from funding partners – WIBDI identified the need for a strategic review of its operations and the development of a business plan. The AgriBusiness Group was employed to facilitate this.
